To improve the livelihoods and economic prospects for rural youth in central Mozambique and to capacitate MICAIA, TVETs and BDS providers to deliver effective services that both meet the needs of young women and men in the informal economy & geared towards concrete opportunities for local economic development.

Overall Objective: to improve the livelihoods and economic prospects for rural youth in central Mozambique and to capacitate MICAIA, TVETs and BDS providers to deliver effective services that both meet the needs of young women and men in the informal economy & geared towards concrete opportunities for local economic development.

Specific Objective: to assist young women and men working in agriculture and non-timber forest product value chains within the informal economy to acquire the knowledge, skills and confidence to access (self-) employment opportunities.
