29.09.2015
Text

By becoming the 192nd State Party to the Chemical Weapons Convention, Angola has taken an important step forward in the efforts to achieve a universal ban on the development, production and stockpiling of chemical weapons.

It is now crucial for the small number of States not yet Party to this Convention to follow suit in order to ensure the global prohibition and elimination of these weapons. The EU remains committed to working with Angola as an active member of the international community, including on further steps that would strengthen the international non-proliferation and disarmament regime.
