The 2nd EUNIC FILM FESTIVAL "Migrants in European Cities" will open this coming Saturday. This year's festival explores the theme of "migration," which has become a crucial issue for Europe.
With the participation of embassies and cultural institutes of 9 EU countries (Italy, Portugal, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, France, Sweden, UK, and Poland, the festival will screen films of diverse genres highlighting the lives of migrants in European cities.
Harmonising the Regulatory Framework for Electricity Market Integration in Africa
A roadmap for harmonisation of the regulatory framework for an integrated pan-African electricity market is being elaborated through a joint initiative of the African Union Commission (AUC) and the European Union (EU). A fully integrated, competitive and harmonised electricity market will accelerate Africa's development and improve energy access for African citizens.
On 19-20 September 2016 the Kyrgyz national kick-off meeting of a EU-funded project worth 5 million euros was successfully conducted in Bishkek. The event was co-organized by the implementer ISTC, the EU Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Centres of Excellence Initiative (CBRN CoE) and Kyrgyz Governmental partners. The meeting was opened by Mr. Tolongutov, Director of the Center of State Regulation of the Environment Protection and Safety, Mrs. Riva, DG DEVCO representative, and Mr. Visser, P53-project manager, ISTC.
