"Gender and Agriculture"
On 9 May, the Head of Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the United Republic of Tanzania and the East African Community, H.E. Ambassador Roeland van de Geer, together with the Heads of Mission of the Member States of the European Union in Dar es Salaam, hosted the Europe Day reception at the Tanzania National Museum and House of Culture.

The Office of the European Union Representative celebrated the 68th anniversary of Europe Day through four events that were held in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Gaza.

Europe and Africa are the closest neighbours and what happens to one will affect the other. Whether it is job creation, combatting climate change, management of migration or the fight against terrorism – we believe that the key to success lies in a successful Africa-EU partnership.

The two European Union Delegations in Addis Ababa commemorated Europe Day 2018 in the presence of EU and AU Member States, the African Union Commissioners and staff, the Ethiopian government officials, national and international partner organisations, friends and family.
