On 18 July 2016, the Council extended the mandate of EUCAP Sahel Niger until 15 July 2018 and agreed on a budget of €26.3 million for the period 16 July 2016 to 15 July 2017.


We will meet the US Secretary of State John Kerry for the first time at the Foreign Affairs Council today; it is a perfect occasion to exchange views on the most pressing issues. First of all, obviously on what is happening in Turkey, but also our common work on Syria, on the Middle East.

Le 18 juillet 2016, le Conseil a prorogé le mandat de l'EUCAP Sahel Niger jusqu'au 15 juillet 2018 et a fixé à 26,3 millions € le budget relatif à la période allant du 16 juillet 2016 au 15 juillet 2017.


Upgrade and improvement of the most Western part of the East-West highway, from Zestaponi to Adjara region in Georgia for a total length of about 68 km.

The project targets a number of water supply and sanitation investment schemes throughout Georgia. It addresses more specifically social and environmental objectives by improving access to safe water and contributing to the environmental protection.

The project include last stage of rehabilitation of the Enguri HPP units and will allow the safe operation of Enguri HPP at full capacity. Rehabilitation of the Enguri-Vardnili cascade will also increase the safety in the Enguri HPP operation.
