Minister of Interior Khaled Mazen, EU Ambassador to Libya José Sabadell and UNDP Resident Representative Gerardo Noto inaugurated the model police station in Hay Al Andalus on 6 June 2021. The Hay Al Andalus model police station is to set new standards in policing in Libya.

The Council of the EU today approved conclusions endorsing a new strategy that outlines a long-term vision for the EU to become a climate-resilient society that is fully adapted to the unavoidable impacts of climate change by 2050.

The conclusions adopted today give political guidance to the Commission as regards the implementation of the strategy. 

The Council supports the strategy’s focus on better gathering and sharing data to improve access to and exchange of knowledge on climate impacts and adaptation, including by enhancing the Climate-ADAPT platform.

Ahead of the G7 Summit, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced today that the European Union is pledging €700 million for the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) to help transform education systems for more than one billion girls and boys in up to 90 countries and territories.

Indeed, we are very much looking forward to have this G7 Summit again, finally, to have the G7 countries, like-minded countries, that share the same values, that share the same interest and that share also the same worldview. So it is good that the U.S. are back and it is good that the G7, by this, is back again too.
