Hari ini (13/8), Duta Besar Uni Eropa untuk ASEAN, Bapak Igor Driesmans, meluncurkan tiga proyek baru kerja sama pembangunan antara Uni Eropa dan ASEAN dengan total dana sebesar 13 juta euro.

Today (13/8), the European Union (EU) Ambassador to ASEAN, H.E. Mr Igor Driesmans, announced three new development cooperation projects with ASEAN for a total amount of EUR 13 million.

2021 has been declared the International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour.

In support of the fight against child labour, the European Union, through the Ghana Employment and Social Protection (GESP) programme, will launch a campaign specifically aimed to fight against child labour in Ghana, which will be executed during the first quarter of 2021.

In pursuit of a theme song for this campaign, the European Union is launching a song contest.

The winner of this contest will compose the theme song for the campaign, and become the musical face of this noble initiative.

A travers le Devis-Programme, géré par l’Unité de Gestion du Programme au sein du Bureau d’Appui à la Coopération Extérieure (BACE), le Programme RINDRA a apporté une contribution, composée de 1 500 caches bouche, 1 500 flacons de gel individuel, 480 flacons de gel grand format, 50 combinaisons de protection intégrale, 12 thermomètres infrarouges sans contact et 1 000 paires de gant, les 5 et 10 août derniers dans l’optique d’appuyer la coordination des Ministères de l’Agriculture, de l’Elevage et de la Pêche et de l’Environnement et du Développement Durable face à la crise sanitaire actuel

The 3.6 million Euro for the Tripartite Transit and Transport Facilitation Programme (TTTFP) under the SADC Secretariat, is geared at developing a special Corridor Trip Monitoring System (CTMS) to facilitate transit of essential goods that include food, fuel and medicines across the borders during the constraints of the COVID-19 epidemic.

The disbursement of BWP 26.2 million to the Treasury, should provide quick economic relief to the country and proactively support the Government’s COVID-19 response.

Lusaka, 11th August 2020 – The European Union stood in solidarity with the Government of Zambia in the fight against COVID-19 by providing 2.7 million EUR (58 million Kwacha) worth of lifesaving medicines and medical supplies. To mark this significant donation, Ambassador of the European Union, H.E Jacek Jankowski officially handed-over these supplies to the Zambian Government, represented by the Minister of Health Dr.Chitalu Chilufya and the Secretary to the Treasury and National Authorizing Officer for the European Development Fund, Mr. Fredson Yamba.

We are pleased to announce that the co-funded project by EU and Austrian government "Effective inclusion and participation for children with disabilities in quality education, health and social services in Zambia” has been reoriented to align with the Zambian national Covid-19 contingency plan. This action has been prompted under Team Europe initiative in global response to Covid-19 pandemic.
