5 March 2021. Tashkent. - First batch of Personal Protected Equipment (PPEs) was delivered in Uzbekistan and handed over to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service in the framework of World Health Organization project funded by the European Union. The delivery includes personal protective equipment such as surgical masks, respirators, gloves and face shields. Second batch of personal protective equipment will be delivered to Tashkent on 12 February.

In pursuit of a better life, Abegail Compuesto decided to leave her home with her sister, hoping to find a job in Malaysia to help her and her family financially. But when she was about to depart, things didn't turn out quite as planned. "At immigration, my sister and another young girl were then taken aside by someone who appeared to be an NGO worker, who suspected that they were being trafficked. Then two police officers came and took them away. But I had already passed through immigration and was forced onto a boat with the other women who had gone through. Abegail is a member of Batis AWARE Women’s Organisation, supported by the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative, that helped her recover from this trauma.

Under the new partnership between the European University Institute (EUI) and the International Visegrad Fund (IVF) young scholars from the IVF’s Member States, the Western Balkans and the EU’s Eastern Partnership Region can apply for research grant programme, in order to conduct research at the Historical Archives of the European Union at the EUI, with a focus on European integration.

On 4 March 2021, the first 487,200 vaccines provided to the Philippines under the COVAX facility have arrived in Manila. These vaccines as well as 40 more million doses which are yet to come are part of the COVAX facility to which Team Europe is the biggest contributor.
