The terrorist attack carried out by Boko Haram in the night of 3-4 June at Bosso, in the Diffa region of Niger, inflicted a heavy toll in human life, mainly among Niger's armed forces but also among the forces of neighbouring Nigeria. It demonstrates once again that we must remain united against those who wish to divide us.

This attack represents a level of blind and unprecedented violence which can only incur the indignation of the entire international community.

L’attaque terroriste perpétrée par Boko Haram dans la nuit du 3 au 4 Juin à Bosso, dans la région de Diffa, Niger, a causé un très haut tribut en vies humaines, notamment au sein des forces armées nigériennes mais aussi de celles du Nigeria voisin. Elle démontre une fois de plus que nous devons rester unis face  à ceux qui souhaitent nous diviser.

L’attaque représente un niveau de violence aveugle et inouï qui ne peut que provoquer l’indignement de l’ensemble de la communauté internationale.

The legislative proposal that is now before the Parliament reflects the recommendations by the Venice Commission and is fully in line with European standards. It is essential that the proposal is adopted by the required two-thirds majority.

Cette réforme judiciaire approfondie et complète est une demande de longue date d'une grande majorité des citoyens albanais. Elle est également essentielle pour la prochaine étape vers  l'intégration de ce pays dans l'UE.

La proposition législative, qui est actuellement examinée par le Parlement, traduit les recommandations formulées par la Commission de Venise et elle est pleinement conforme aux normes européennes. Il est essentiel que la proposition soit adoptée à la majorité requise des deux tiers .

EU relation with the International Organisations in Vienna

Starting May 30 to June 2, 2016, the European Union (EU) held training and outreach sessions with staff of the European Union Delegation to Botswana & SADC as well as local and regional partners focusing on a rights-based approach to development.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) came into being on 18 June 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate with each other and promote unity and solidarity among the Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, so named in honour of the capital city of St. Kitts and Nevis where it was signed.
