The Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) enables the Union to take a leading role in peace-keeping operations, conflict prevention and in the strengthening of the international security. It is an integral part of the EU's comprehensive approach towards crisis management, drawing on civilian and military assets.

EUCAP Sahel Mali is a European Union civilian crisis management Mission in Mali, with its Headquarters in the capital Bamako and a Mobile Unit in central Mali, Mopti-Sévaré. The non-executive Mission was launched on 15 January 2015, following an official invitation by the Malian government, to assist the internal security forces in reasserting the State authority across the country vis- à vis the various factions who challenged it following the 'Northern Mali Crisis' in 2012.

EUCAP Sahel Mali est une mission civile de l’Union européenne, avec son quartier général dans la capitale Bamako et une unité mobile dans le centre du pays à Mopti-Sévaré.
La Mission, avec mandat non exécutif, a été lancée le 15 janvier 2015 suite à une invitation officielle du gouvernement malien, afin d’aider les forces de sécurité intérieure à réaffirmer l’autorité de l’État à travers le pays suite à la crise sécuritaire débutée en 2012.

EU Ambassador H.E Franz Jessen will inaugurate the Mindanao Collective Trademark System on 21 June in Park Inn, Davao City.

He will join Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Secretary Luwalhati Antonino and business groups in Mindanao in launching the Mindanao Collective Trademark System.
