Le Haut Représentant de l’Union européenne Josep Borrell s’est entretenu ce jour avec le Ministre des Affaires étrangères libanais Charbel Wehbe, pour exprimer la pleine solidarité de l’Union européenne suite aux explosions tragiques qui ont touché le pays dans la soirée du 4 août.

Il a transmis à son interlocuteur ses condoléances les plus sincères.

The High Representative of the European Union today spoke with the Foreign Minister of Lebanon to express the European Union’s solidarity with Lebanon following the tragic explosions that hit the country in the evening of 4 August.

He transmitted to the Foreign Minister his most sincere condolences, as well as to the families of the many victims and wounded, and to the people and Government of Lebanon.

Desde el inicio de la crisis generada por la pandemia del COVID-19, la Unión Europea y sus Estados miembros han apoyado a sus países socios a través de la iniciativa global denominada “Team Europe/Equipo Europa” para hacer frente a la pandemia y limitar su impacto socioeconómico. En Perú, el “Equipo Europa” enfocó sus esfuerzos en las necesidades de la población más vulnerable a través de la reorientación de los fondos asignados para apoyar instituciones del Estado y diversas ONG.

Call for Proposals

The Secretariat of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the European Union (EU), and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany have launched a Call for innovative proposals as part of the “COVID-19-relevant Medical and Pharmaceutical Products” (CMPP) Project.

"We share the shock and sadness of the people of Beirut following the deadly explosion that has taken many lives and left many more injured. Our condolences go to all those that have lost loved ones."

With funding from the European Union (EU), the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the South Sudan Ministry of Health has trained over 50 laboratory experts on principles of COVID-19 infection prevention and control (IPC) measures in the laboratory.

It was prepared in the framework of EU project Uruguay Looks at Human Trafficking.
