The EU, its Member States in Afghanistan and Norway firmly back the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process. They stand ready to support the successful implementation of the Peace Agreement with Hezb-e-Islami which will undoubtedly require maximum effort, patience, determination and flexibility from both sides in order to achieve reconciliation for the Afghan people. All achievements gained in the last fifteen years will need to be well observed and respected, particularly concerning transitional justice, human rights - especially women and children's rights - and media freedom.

Delegacioni i Bashkimit Evropian në partneritet me organizata të tjera, ambasada dhe komuna, do të organizojë dhe mbështesë mbi 30 evenimente në të gjithë vendin, me qëllim që të shënojë ditëlindjen e 67-të të Bashkimit Evropian dhe të sjellë procesin e integrimit Evropian më afër qytetarëve.

Celebrating Europe Day together!

Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, H.E. Janos Herman, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, and Members of the Georgian Parliament attended the #EuropeDay2017 celebration in Kutaisi on May 4, 2017.

Canadian Opposition Leader, the Hon. Rona Ambrose, was the special guest at a breakfast meeting with EU Ambassador Marie-Anne Coninsx and the Heads of Mission of EU Member States on 4 May at the EU Delegation in Ottawa.

It was an occasion for the Ambassadors and the Opposition Leader to exchange views on wide-ranging issues of mutual interest. The breakfast was part of regular working meetings of EU Heads of Missions with leading Canadian personalities.
