The European Union Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative delivered two workshops on CBRN Risk Assessment and Awareness Raising, respectively, from 3 to 6 April 2017 in Brunei.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, the Emergency Relief Coordinator and Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs of the United Nations and the Foreign Ministers of Germany, Kuwait, Norway, Qatar, and the United Kingdom chaired today in Brussels a conference on the Syrian conflict and its impact on the region.

Wednesday’s Brussels Conference on “Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region” agreed a holistic approach to handling the Syrian crisis, including massive financial assistance to respond to the humanitarian situation, backing for political work towards a resolution of the crisis, and a long-term vision to support a peaceful and stable future for Syria and the wider region, High Representative Federica Mogherini said today, at the end of the conference, which she hosted and co-chaired with the United Nations, Qatar, Norway, Kuwait, Germany and the United Kingdom.


Les participants à la conférence de Bruxelles sur l’avenir de la Syrie et de la région ont convenu mercredi d’adopter une approche globale pour gérer la crise syrienne, notamment en apportant une aide financière massive pour faire face à la situation humanitaire, en soutenant les travaux politiques en faveur d’une résolution de la crise et en privilégiant une vision à long terme pour assurer à la Syrie et à l’ensemble de la région un avenir pacifique et stable. C'est ce qu'a déclaré aujourd’hui la haute représentante Federica Mogherini, à l’issue de la conférence organisée et coprésidée avec les Nations unies, le Qatar, le Koweït, la Norvège, l’Allemagne et le Royaume-Uni.

Esta é uma iniciativa financiada pela União Europeia.
