The months of April and May were packed with a broad range of activities, including visits, launches, dialogues and the signing of agreements that further strengthened the ties between the European Union and Tanzania. Also this year May was "Europe Month" and the programme of Europe Month, with activities in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma and Arusha was presented in detail in our special Europe Month flash that you received earlier.
Both Europe and Tanzania as well as the East African Community are integral parts of a world that faces ever increasing challenges and dialogue between the EU, the EAC and Tanzania took place on a broad range of issues, including international cooperation, trade, security and regional integration.
The EU Delegation in Tanzania is a vital link in the relations between Europe, the EAC and Tanzania and the Delegation's team is committed to increased cooperation between the EU, Tanzania and East Africa.

The European Union -Joint Rural Development Programme (EU-JRDP) is a rural development intervention under ENPARD. The EU-JRDP is implemented by the Italian Development Cooperation in Egypt. The Programme aims to improve the quality of life of the people living in the rural areas of the three targeted governorates of Egypt (Matrouh, Minya and Fayoum) with the focus on the sustainable management of territorial resources.
