On Saturday, March 10, EU Ambassador Carl Hallergard spoke at the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights' (FIFDH) event and film screening on "Defending the defenders" to underline the EU's commitment to defend human rights defenders and protect and promote human rights.
On 12 March 2018, the Council prolonged the restrictive measures over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until 15 September 2018. The measures consist of asset freezes and travel restrictions. They continue to apply to 150 persons and 38 entities.

The attending society were from high-level officials of Gori Municipality, representatives of the Administration of State Representative – Governor of Shida Kartli, representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia and “Mayors for Economic Growth (M4EG)” Secretariat, as well as, representatives of local small and medium businesses.
