Thailand and EU trade in animal and animal products has a significant growth potential taking into consideration the already developed Thai agricultural sector. However, an outbreak of serious animal disease may lead to an immediate, country-wide, trade suspension of livestock between both parties, causing unnecessary economic damage for operators located outside the outbreak area.

The European Union made a contribution of €15 million to the Palestinian Authority payment of social allowances to poor families in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It will contribute to payments made to around 65,839 families of which 80% live in the Gaza Strip.


قدم الاتحاد الأوروبي اليوم مساهمة قدرها 15 مليون يورو إلى السلطة الفلسطيني لصالح دفع المخصصات الاجتماعية للأسر الفلسطينية الفقيرة في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة. سيساهم هذا المبلغ في الدفعات المقدمة إلى حوالي 65،839 عائلة يعيش 80٪ منها في قطاع غزة.

إن دعم الاتحاد الأوروبي للأسرالفلسطينية الفقيرة ينبع من مُنطلق التزامه بنظام الرفاه الفلسطيني في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة، حيث يعمل الاتحاد الأوروبي على دعم وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية في الخدمات التي تقدمها إلى ما مجموعه 110 آلاف أسرة فقيرة من خلال نظام حماية اجتماعي شامل وعادل.


For the next long-term EU budget 2021-2027, the Commission today proposed €100 billion for research and innovation. The new programme – Horizon Europe – will build on the achievements and success of the previous research and innovation programme (Horizon 2020) and keep the EU at the forefront of global research and innovation. Horizon Europe is the most ambitious research and innovation programme ever.

From 28 May to 1 June 2018, 34 civilian and military personnel from Member States, EU institutions and Operations attended a new iteration of the ESDC course on "The challenges of Securing Maritime Areas for the European Union". The course was hosted by the Bulgarian Naval Academy in Varna with support from the Bulgarian Naval Command, Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute and Rakovsky Defence College.

As part of her New Zealand visit, Commissioner Malmström will give a public speech on 21 June at Parliament Buildings in Wellington.
