On 11 July the first mission of the EU Business Avenues to South-East Asia was welcomed in Singapore. Ambassadors from various member states joined HoD Michael Pulch for the opening of the Pavilion at Singapore International Water Week.

Le ministre des Finances, M. Saïdou Sidibé, et l'ambassadeur, chef de Délégation de l'Union Européenne S.E.M. Raul Mateus Paula, ont coprésidé mercredi 13 juillet 2016 à Niamey, la cérémonie officielle de remise des projets-terrains dans le cadre de la convention de financement portant sur la résilience climatique pour un Développement Agricole Durable signée en mai 2015. D'un montant de onze (11) millions d'euros, soit plus de 7,2 milliards de francs FCFA, cette convention s'inscrit dans le cadre de l'Alliance Mondiale contre le Changement Climatique (AMCC) qui est une initiative lancée en 2007 par la Commission Européenne.

On 15-16 July, Mongolia will host the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). Discussions at the summit will focus on the theme "20 years of ASEM: partnership for the future through connectivity".

The Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) are intended to enhance regional integration and economic development in the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries. They are based on the principle of asymmetrical market opening, meaning that they provide a better access to the EU market for ACP partners. They notably offer unprecedented market opportunities for agricultural and fisheries products.

A group of students and young professionals from Pontifica Universidad Comillas visited the EU Delegation on Wednesday.

Erik Habers, Head of Development Cooperation, gave a comprehensive overview of the political and economic cooperation between the EU and Kenya. After his introductory presentation, the students engaged in lively discussion on the role of the EU-Kenyan cooperation for regional integration in (East) Africa.
