The European Commission is a privileged partner of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Privileged because, historically, the Commission has been responding since 1959 by adapting its aid to the requirements and crises faced by the country. Privileged also because, since then, the Commission is one of the DRC’s main donors, both in terms of development aid and humanitarian aid.
