The Delegation of the European Union to Eswatini is deeply and actively committed to fighting gender-based violence. Today, (25 November 2021), we launch 16 Days of Activism to eliminate violence against women and girls. You, too, can take a stand and join the campaign TODAY!

The Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines will conduct a webinar on data science and its links to the digital economy amidst the pandemic titled “The Race towards Data Science to Boost the Digital Economy” on 01 December 2021, 2:30 PM, via Zoom and EU in the Philippines Facebook Page.

Development Counsellors from the European Union, France, Germany and the Netherlands visited Aden and Lahj governorates in Yemen from 18-23 November, following the visit of EU Ambassadors on 26-28 October. The mission was organised with support from the UN.

The European Union, in partnership with the Philippine Government, launched the second phase of its Justice Sector Reform Programme: Governance in Justice (GOJUST).

With an investment of  Euro 19 million (Php 1.1 billion ) over a period of four years, GOJUST will support ongoing efforts by the Philippine Supreme Court, the Department of Justice, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government, to improve access to justice for all Filipinos and thus, contribute to inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development. 

Some girls commit suicide to avoid forced marriage - 72% of human trafficking victims are women and girls - Gender-based violence jeopardises girls’ education. These are just some of the reasons why we need to act now to end gender-based violence. Today we #OrangeTheWorld in solidarity with victims of violence, and the EU takes stock of progress made and challenges ahead, one year after adopting the Gender Action Plan III, which promotes gender equality and women's empowerment through all external action of the European Union.
