Today, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, Hon Murray McCully, have signed the Partnership Agreement for Relations and Cooperation (PARC) between the European Union and New Zealand.

The European Union and New Zealand are like-minded partners, sharing the same view and approach on many global issues. Both support democracy, the rule of law and human rights and are active players in multilateral organisations such as the United Nations and the World Trade Organisation (WTO). They also have shared interests in tackling key global challenges such as climate change, sustainable development, and preserving the environment, but also humanitarian aid and the fight against terrorism.

A productive and valued partnership - celebrating 20 Years of Science & Technology Cooperation at which the partners signed the Declaration of Intent on Marine Research and Innovation Cooperation.

The International Conferences on Research Infrastructures (ICRI) 2016

The International Conferences on Research Infrastructures (ICRI) are well established international fora encouraging global cooperation and providing a unique opportunity to share views on matters of relevance on international research infrastructures.

European Union Commissioner for the Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Karmenu Vella and South Africa's Minister of Environmental Affairs Edna Molewa met for a bilateral meeting ahead of the Cites COP17 conference in Sandton, South Africa. Discussions covered a range of issues and the parties signed an Agreement: Terms of Reference for the Forum on Environment, Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Water.

L’Union européenne et le gouvernement afghan organisent aujourd’hui (mercredi 5 octobre) la conférence de Bruxelles sur l’Afghanistan. Cet événement, qui rassemblera plus de 70 pays et 20 organisations et agences internationales, permettra au gouvernement afghan d'exposer sa vision et son bilan en matière de réformes.
