The European Union (EU) Delegation to Egypt launches its 10th Annual Photography Competition for amateur photographers under the theme "Favourite Destinations in Egypt". The EU Delegation organizes this competition annually to promote and stimulate the interest and creativity in the field of photography among amateur photographers in Egypt, in addition to provide opportunity for them to publish and exhibit their work. The competition comes within the framework of the EU's keenness to cooperate with Egypt in various fields, including the support of arts and culture.

ينظم وفد الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى مصر مسابقته السنوية العاشرة للتصوير الفوتوغرافي للهواة تحت عنوان "الوجهات المفضلة في مصر". تعد مسابقة التصوير الفوتوغرافي من أهم الفعاليات التي يحرص وفد الاتحاد الأوروبي على إقامتها بشكل دوري من أجل تعزيز وتحفيز الاهتمام والإبداع في مجال التصوير الفوتوغرافي بين المصورين الهواة في مصر، بالاضافة إلى إتاحة الفرصة لنشر أعمالهم وعرضها. وتأتي المسابقة في إطار حرص الاتحاد الأوروبي على التعاون مع مصر في مختلف المجالات؛ ومنها دعم الثقافة والفن.

Good governance and public administration reform are among the fundamentals of the EC enlargements strategy. A special group on public administration was established as a dialogue fora between the European Commission and the national authorities under the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA). Attached are the conclusions from the 7th meeting of the special group, held on 20 September 2017.

 

In response to an invitation from the Election Commission of Nepal (ECN), the European Union has deployed an Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) to observe elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assemblies scheduled for 26 November and 7 December 2017.

Election observation gives the opportunity to assess an electoral process according to international standards. The EU is a leading global player in providing and financing electoral assistance complementary to election observation.

Upon the invitation of a foreign country organising democratic elections, the EU can decide to deploy an Election Observation Mission to the country's elections in consultation with the European Parliament and Member States.

Each EU missions works in the framework of a comprehensive approach. The mission works in agreement and coordination with the EU Delegations in the same area and in the framework of EU regional policies.
