I congratulate Benjamin Netanyahu for his appointment as Prime Minister of the State of Israel and the new government, following the general elections on 17 March 2015.

The European Union will continue to work together with Israel on a mutually beneficial bilateral relationship as well as on important regional and global issues of joint interest.

On 6 and 7 May 2015 the European External Action Service (EEAS) Security Policy and Conflict Prevention Directorate hosted peace mediation experts from sixteen Regional and International Organisations in Brussels, including the United Nations, the League of Arab States, the African Union and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.


Les 6 et 7 mai 2015, la direction de la politique de sécurité et de la prévention des conflits du service européen pour l’action extérieure (SEAE) a réuni à Bruxelles des spécialistes de la médiation pour la paix issus de seize organisations régionales et internationales, notamment les Nations unies, la Ligue des États arabes, l’Union africaine et l’Organisation pour la sécurité et la coopération en Europe.
