The EU is following closely the reports about yesterday's developments related to Feza Media Group, including Zaman newspaper, and the ensuing police action.

The 17th East African Community Summit (EAC) that took place recently in Arusha, Tanzania confirmed the region's commitment to pursue a mediated inter-Burundian dialogue.

The designation of the former President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Benjamin W Mkapa, to facilitate the activities of the EAC mediator President Museveni, should give a much-needed and urgent boost to inclusive inter-Burundian dialogue without preconditions, as underlined by the high-level African Union delegation who recently visited Burundi.

En devenant le 124e État partie au statut de Rome, El Salvador a rejoint les pays, de plus en plus nombreux, qui soutiennent la Cour pénale internationale (CPI).


The accession by El Salvador to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court confirms the commitment of El Salvador to the Rule of Law and to ending impunity for the most serious crimes.
El Salvador has become the 124th State Party of the Rome Statute and has joined the ever-growing number of countries supporting the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The European Commission has today announced the first funding allocation to activate the 'Refugee Facility for Turkey', a multi-billion fund which will support humanitarian aid and development projects for refugees residing in Turkey.

Of the total €95 million released today, €40 million is humanitarian aid contracted to the UN World Food Programme while €55 million will go towards education for children in Turkey.
