Today, the first Joint Review Meeting of Nepal’s School Sector Development Plan (2016-2023) concluded with the formal endorsement of the SSDP by the Development Partners. The Ministry of Education convened this gathering from 22 to 25 November and brought together government officials, education sector stakeholders, civil society and development partners to kick-off the implementation of the 7 year SSDP and to develop a joint understanding on the way forward.

The EU Delegation to Indonesia – in cooperation with UN Women Indonesia – kicked-off on Friday (25/11) in Jakarta a series of events as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence.

Each time we mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we acknowledge a failure of our societies. Women and girls are targeted – at home, in their communities or at their working place – all over the world. Our European Union makes no exception: on the contrary, we are witnessing a worrying trend that defies achievements we used to take for granted. Women endure enormous pain, and very often they have to carry this weight alone. But violence against women is violence against the entire society: the entire society has to react, starting with men.

Institutional support to Rural Development Policy in Georgia and international experience in this field were the main topics of a workshop organized by the European Union (EU), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), within the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD).


საქართველოში სოფლის განვითარების პოლიტიკის ინსტიტუციურ მხარდაჭერასა და საერთაშორისო გამოცდილების გაზიარებას მიეძღვნა სემინარი, რომელიც ევროკავშირის, გაეროს სურსათისა და სოფლის მეურნეობის ორგანიზაციისა (FAO) და გაეროს განვითარების პროგრამის (UNDP) ორგანიზებით გაიმართა, სოფლისა და სოფლის მეურნეობის განვითარების ევროპის სამეზობლო პროგრამის (ENPARD) ფარგლებში.
