Head of the ESDC Dirk Dubois inaugurated the new meeting room of the European Security and Defence College on 13 February 2017. The new conference facility at 115 Avenue de Cortenbergh was officially opened on the occasion of the 6th Advanced Course for Political Advisors.

The SWITCH Africa Green programme started in 2014. Its global objective is to support the transformation towards an inclusive green economy which generates growth, creates jobs, and reduces poverty. Its specific objective is the adoption of Sustainable Consumption and Production practices in 7 African countries: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Uganda.

Kyrgyz President visited Brussels

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev visited Brussels on 16 February. He met with HR/VP Federica Mogherini, President of the European Council Donald Tusk and the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.

The Civil Society Roadmap seeks to identify long term objectives for support to civil society; including both operational support and dialogue.

EU Civil Society Roadmaps have been developed worldwide to identify long term objectives of EU cooperation with CSOs in third countries. Prepared in cooperation with civil society organisations and member states, they improve the impact, predictability, visibility and consistency between EU dialogue, various policy sectors and operational support.

In the framework of the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) under the project “Capacity Building to the Agricultural Cooperatives Development Agency (ACDA)” Spanish company EVOLUXER has launched a new phase of training programme for managers and members of the agricultural cooperatives.
