Con la participación de unos 150 delegados de Europa y América Latina sesionó del 27 al 30 de septiembre en el Palacio de Convenciones de La Habana el XIV Seminario Internacional Tributario: pasado, presente y futuro de la administración tributaria, organizado por la Oficina Nacional de Administración Tributaria (ONAT) en Cuba en colaboración con la Centro Interamericano de Administraciones Tributarias (CIAT).
The first negotiating round took place in Brussels from 20-21 September 2016. The round included discussions on trade in goods, rules of origin, sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures, technical barriers to trade (TBT), customs and trade facilitation, government procurement, services and investment, intellectual property rights (including geographical indications), competition, trade and sustainable development, trade remedies, dispute settlement, and economic cooperation.
The 4th Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture commodity markets and prices took place at FAO in Rome on 3 October 2016 followed by the 71st Session of the Committee on Commodity Problems (CCP 71) from 4 - 6 October 2016.
In response to widespread flooding that has hit several parts of Myanmar since late July, the European Union (EU) is providing 200 000 EUR (more than 280,000,000 MMK) in humanitarian funding to assist the most affected communities.
Over fifty representatives of the Government of Georgia, civil society and international organizations got together in Borjomi on 1-2 October to discuss Rural Development Strategy of Georgia which will be finalised and presented to the Government in the coming weeks. The event was organised with the support of the European Union (EU) under the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD).
