Port-au-Prince, le 29 April 2016 – L’Union européenne augmente son soutien à Haïti en 2016 en déployant 21,4 millions d’euros d’assistance humanitaire (soit 1 508 651 422 gourdes 1 ) pour lutter contre l’insécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle, le choléra et la crise migratoire, ainsi que 17 millions d’euros (soit 1 198 461 410 gourdes 2 ) pour renforcer la sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle à long terme.

The Agreement creating the European Economic Area (EEA) entered into force on 1 January 1994. It allows the EEA EFTA States (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) to participate in the Internal Market on the basis of their application of Internal Market relevant acquis.

Europe and Africa have close historical, cultural and geographical ties. EU-Africa relations are based on the 2000 Cotonou Agreement with African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries, which grew out of the 1975 Lomé Convention.
