The worsening security situation in eastern Ukraine, where heavy fighting with pro-Russian rebels recently broke out in the government-controlled town of Avdiivka, were debated by Security and Defence Subcommittee MEPs on Monday with Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. MEPs urged Russia to stop testing the West’s reactions and to go on implementing the Minsk agreements.

A delegation of 14 European Union (EU) diplomats – including 12 Ambassadors accredited to Brunei Darussalam and 2 Deputy Heads of Mission – are in Bandar Seri Begawan on Tuesday (7/2) for a two-day visit focusing on enhancing EU-Brunei and EU-ASEAN relations. The visit provides an opportunity to discuss matters of bilateral importance, including strengthening political ties and advancing trade relations, as well as a range of regional and global issues.

EU Launch 2nd ‘Green Energy’ Technical Support Phase with JO gov'

The Minister of Energy and Mineral resources, Dr Ibrahim Said, along with Head of the European Union’s Delegation to Jordan, Mr Andrea Matteo Fontana, officially announced the launch of the 2nd technical support phase for the renewable energy and power proficiency project, funded by the EU, worth EUR90 million.
