The Carter Center and European Union have awarded certificates of distinction to nearly 70 Liberian government officials, including officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP), at the end of training to build their capacity in implementing the 2010 Freedom of Information Act.
On 13 March 2017, the Council prolonged the restrictive measures over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until 15 September 2017. The measures consist of asset freezes and a travel bans.

This seminar was a side-event to the 7th Lao PDR-EU Human Rights Dialogue that took place last month in Vientiane. It presented an opportunity for the EU and the Lao PDR to continue expanding and deepening the conversation that took place in the dialogue, this time with specific reference to the rights of people with disabilities.
