Après deux ans et demi de négociations intenses, l’accord qui succédera à l’accord de Cotonou est en vue. Le 15 avril, en tant que négociateurs en chef, nous avons conclu les négociations qui conduiront à la signature d’un nouvel accord d’association entre les 79 membres de l’Organisation des États d’Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique et l’Union européenne.

 The United States, the United Kingdom, Norway, Canada, the European Union, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Sweden congratulate the Government of South Sudan on reconstituting the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (R-TNLA).  This is an important action required by the 2018 revitalized peace agreement, and a necessary step toward peace in South Sudan.

I am very glad that I could welcome today Prime Minister [of North Macedonia Zoran] Zaev at the External Action Service headquarters, here in Brussels.

The European Union in Sudan is pleased to propose to Sudanese public the Online European Film Festival (EFF).

High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi met on 11 May 2021.

They discussed in detail the situation in Ethiopia, Colombia, Lebanon and the Western Balkans. They agreed on the importance of bridging the divide between humanitarian and development responses to forced displacement to ensure long-term and sustainable solutions.

The EU Delegation in Tajikistan cooperates with local Radio Asia Plus to prepare a series of short radio-shows  called “EuroTour”.

The Council agreed on the application of the revised enlargement methodology to the accession negotiations with Montenegro and Serbia, after both candidate countries expressed their acceptance of the new methodology. The changes will be accommodated within the existing negotiating frameworks with Montenegro and Serbia during the next Intergovernmental Conferences.
