Three months after the heinous killing of indigenous leader Berta Cáceres, another Human Right Defender who is a leader of LGBTI community in Honduras Mr. René Martinéz has been killed . 
It is essential that thorough investigations are conducted as soon as possible to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Urgent and decisive steps to protect human rights defenders in Honduras must be ensured so that impunity and violence come to an end.


Trois mois après le meurtre atroce de la dirigeante indigène Berta Cáceres, un autre défenseur des droits de l'homme, et également l'un des chefs de file de la communauté LGBTI au Honduras, René Martinèz, a été assassiné. 
Des enquêtes approfondies doivent être menées dès que possible afin que les coupables soient traduits en justice.
En vue de la protection des défenseurs des droits de l'homme au Honduras et pour mettre un terme à l'impunité et à la violence, des mesures urgentes et décisives doivent être garanties.


EU relation with the International Organisations in Vienna

Starting May 30 to June 2, 2016, the European Union (EU) held training and outreach sessions with staff of the European Union Delegation to Botswana & SADC as well as local and regional partners focusing on a rights-based approach to development.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) came into being on 18 June 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate with each other and promote unity and solidarity among the Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, so named in honour of the capital city of St. Kitts and Nevis where it was signed.
