The violent armed conflict has afflicted Colombia for the past 50 years destabilising the country and causing the death of over 200,000 of people and the forced internal displacement of more than 5 million Colombians.

Agadez, 30.11.2016. EUCAP Sahel Niger accompagnera les forces de sécurité à Agadez pendant les festivités autour d’Agadez Sokni, prévues pour mi-Décembre. Le Commandant des opérations civiles de l’Union européenne (UE), M. Kenneth Deane, a rencontré les autorités régionales à Agadez : il confirme que les experts de la mission civile EUCAP Sahel Niger seront aux côtés de leurs homologues nigériens pour soutenir la mise en place d’un poste de commandement mixte (PC Mixte) qui permettra aux trois forces de sécurité intérieure de mieux coordonner leurs actions pendant Agadez Sokni et de mieux gérer des évènements impactant la sécurité de la population sur place.

European Union Member States Embassies in Tirana and the EU Delegation welcome the Amicus Curiae brief of the Venice Commission regarding the constitutionality of the Vetting Law and its accordance with international conventions.

We expect that the commitment of all stakeholders to the central role of  the Venice Commission will hold and that its opinion will be duly taken into consideration.
