A joint UNICEF/ECHO communication campaign to raise awareness was launched today in Rome at the Italian High-school Liceo Classico Torquato Tasso, as part of a series of launch events during the next 7 months in Europe. 

Between the 4th and 6th May 2016, implementers from EU Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Centres of Excellence (CBRN CoE) Project 46 visited Putrajaya in Malaysia to carry out their initial fact-finding mission.

Des membres* de la Commission du Budget au Parlement européen se rendront au Liban du 17 au 19 mai 2016 pour discuter de l'état de la coopération UE-Liban, en particulier en ce qui concerne le soutien financier en cours aux réfugiés palestiniens et syriens dans le pays ainsi qu'à la population libanaise affectée par la crise syrienne.

We had a good meeting here in Vienna of the group that, both from the international community at large and from the region, supports the ongoing process in Libya. It was very important to have Prime Minister Sarraj with us. As the European Union, we are working with him and the Presidency Council since months now.

Nous saluons la présence du Premier ministre al-Sarraj et le félicitons pour l'autorité dont il a fait preuve dans la conduite des institutions libyennes pour asseoir le gouvernement à Tripoli, ce qui constitue un tournant dans le processus politique libyen.


We welcome the presence of Prime Minister al-Sarraj and commend his leadership in guiding Libya’s institutions through seating the government in Tripoli, a turning point in the Libyan political process.


Members will be visiting Lebanon from 17 to 19 May 2016 to discuss the state of EU-Lebanon cooperation, specifically with regards to the on-going financial support to the Palestinian and Syrian refugees in the country and the Lebanese population affected by the Syrian crisis.
