The project provides support and advice to the Ministry of International Economic Integration and Reforms (in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance) and the EU and its partners (WB, ADB, EBRD, KFW, EIB, IMF) in establishing policy dialogue, coordination and monitoring mechanism in key infrastructure sector projects (targeted sectors Transport, energy and Water).
EU partnership with the IOC has been effective for over 30 years. The EU-IOC cooperation spans over various thematics including environment, biodiversity, climate change, small island developing states (SIDS), maritime security and fisheries. Under the 10th European Development Fund (from 2007), the IOC is implementing programmes for a total amount of 107 million euros.
The project increases capacities of CSOs in Armenia as independent development actors - to make them more competent, more responsive to citizens’ needs, and proactively supporting country’s development through practical, project-based approaches.
The project's overall objective is to contribute to the fight against corruption in Armenia. The specific objective of the project is to raise awareness, especially among youth, regarding the risks presented by different types of corruption and the value and rewards of resisting corruption as an investment in long-term personal and societal prosperity.
