On the occasion of the Anniversary of 10 years of Bulgaria’s EU membership and the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the European Union and the People's Republic of China, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria together with China Radio International has launched online an exhibition dedicated to the work and life of Prof. Ivan Shishmanov in the context of an unified Europe.
The journalists study tour to Brussels and Poland was a joint project co-organized and co-financed by the EU Delegation in Beijing and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
The main goal of the project is to enhance the knowledge regarding EU and its Member States (with the example of Poland), in the context of various areas of cooperation with China, through meetings and discussions with outstanding European experts and specialists.

We have this morning an important meeting in Brussels, thanks to the excellent work of the UN SG envoy to Libya, Bernardino Leon in cooperation with us. The EU and the UN are working on a daily basis together on the Libyan issue and Bernardino Leon has just come from Morocco to continue political dialogue today with the mayors. We have many mayors, representatives of different municipalities from all over Libya, all sides of Libya. Many of the cities they work in have been attacked recently.

The recent arrest and detention of women’s rights activists in China on the grounds that they wanted to launch a campaign against sexual harassment on International Women's Day violates their right to demonstrate peacefully. We urge the Chinese authorities to release them immediately.
