Today, on International Women's Day, the European Commission is publishing a call for proposals on "Women & Sustainable Energy" making €20 million available for grants to implement activities promoting women's entrepreneurship in the sustainable energy sector in developing countries.

This call for proposals is based on the potential of increasing access to sustainable energy as well as on past and current efforts at addressing gender imbalances that women are facing with regard to access to resources, including energy.

The 15th Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs)1- EU Forum took place on 24 February in Aruba.

The annual OCT-EU Forum is the highest level of political dialogue with attendance of Prime Ministers, Premiers, government members and representatives from OCTs and the four Member States to which they are linked: France, Denmark, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Members of the European Parliament, and representatives from the Outermost regions were also present at this 15th OCT-EU Forum.
