«Por ocasião do Dia Internacional pela Eliminação da Violência contra as Mulheres, declaramos uma vez mais que este tipo de violência tem de cessar imediatamente.

A violência contra as mulheres e as raparigas ainda ocorre todos os dias, dentro e fora da União Europeia. Esta violação dos direitos humanos é omnipresente e assume várias formas: ocorre independentemente da origem social, tanto em casa como no trabalho, na escola, na estrada, no desporto ou em linha. Limita a plena participação das mulheres e das raparigas em todos os aspetos da sociedade - político, cultural, social e económico.

The following statement of the European Union Election Observation Mission’s (EU EOM) preliminary findings is delivered before the completion of the electoral process. Critical stages of the elections remain, including the completion of results tabulation and publication, as well as the adjudication of possible complaints or appeals. The EU EOM is publishing its observations of the process so far, and will later publish a final report, referring to the entire election process and including, where appropriate, recommendations for future reference. The EU EOM may also make additional statements, if necessary.

En las elecciones generales del domingo 26 de noviembre, la Misión de Observación Electoral de la Unión Europea (MOE UE) – Honduras 2017, liderada por la eurodiputada Marisa Matias, estuvo presente sobre el terreno con un total de 106 observadores, que visitaron 409 mesas electorales en 17 departamentos de Honduras. La Misión ha presentado este martes 28 de noviembre las conclusiones preliminares de observación en conferencia de prensa en Tegucigalpa.
