High Representative Federica Mogherini met today with Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi to discuss the developments in EU-Kosovo relations and the significant progress made over the past months in particular. They agreed that a swift and thorough implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement is crucial as it will help Kosovo to improve its socio-economic situation.

The partnership between the European Union and the United States stays strong and can become even stronger in the future, despite the recent referendum in the United Kingdom, High Representative Federica Mogherini said today.

Missile launches using ballistic missile technology by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) constitute a clear violation of its international obligations under several UN Security Council Resolutions, including the latest one adopted on 2 March. 

The DPRK must abide by all its obligations and halt all launches using ballistic missile technology. We expect the DPRK to refrain from any action that could further increase regional tensions.

Ambassador Sem Fabrizi: presentation of credentials

On 25 September, H.E. Mr Sem Fabrizi presented his credentials to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO. In line with diplomatic customs, a government admits a newly arrived head of mission to the exercise of his full functions only after the presentation of credentials.
