Erasmus+ offers opportunities for higher education mobility and cooperation projects with European partners. A Call for Proposals has now been launched with deadlines in February 2017.

On 4 November the first major multilateral climate deal of the 21st century, the Paris Agreement on climate change legally entered into force, only 30 days after the EU's ratification and less than a year after the landmark agreement was adopted.

The EU-Korea cooperation project supports the implementation of the Korean Government's national Emissions Trading System. Officially launched on the 8th of July this year, this three year project aims to share the EU experience and knowledge built from the past 10 years of ETS operation with key stakeholders in Korea. It is composed of 3 main components: intelligent support, ETS simulation and carbon price modelling. Among others, project activities include EU study assignments and workshops on ETS compliance and trading strategies, BM allocation and carbon price modelling.


한-EU 배출권거래제 협력사업은 한국 배출권거래제의 원활한 이행을 지원하기 위해 추진되었다. 향후 3년간 추진되는 본 사업은 지난 7월8일에 공식적으로 출범하였으며, 지난 10여년에 걸친 유럽의 배출권거래제도 운영 경험과 전문지식을 한국의 배출권거래제 주요 이해관계자들과 공유하는 것을 목표로 한다. 사업 활동은 기술 지원, ETS 시뮬레이션, 탄소가격 모델링 등 크게 3분야로 구분되며, 세부 사업은 유럽정책 현지조사, 배출권거래제 전략 및 기술 워크샵, 벤치마크 할당, 탄소가격 모델링 워크샵 등이 있다.


El Embajador de la Unión Europea en Guatemala, Stefano Gatto realizó una visita de cortesía al Presidente del Congreso y Jefes de Bloque. Durante la reunión se conoció las acciones de la agenda que el Congreso tiene prevista para el resto del año, incluida la aprobación de la ley de competencia, un compromiso adquirido para Guatemala previo a la firma del Acuerdo de Asociación UE-Centroamérica.
