On July 13, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell met with Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković. They exchanged views on Montenegro's EU path and the political situation in the country in the run-up to the parliamentary elections scheduled for 30 August.

The European Union is allocating €35,000 (some IDR 573 million) to provide critical humanitarian assistance to 99 Rohingya rescued and allowed to disembark in Indonesia after more than 120 gruelling days at sea.


Afghanistan’s border agencies have received personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical supplies to help combat the spread of coronavirus. The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), an international organisation, has provided infrared thermometers, N95 Masks and PPE gowns, gloves and sanitation supplies, thanks to the generous financial support of the European Union.

In the coming weeks, 66 Filipino students will pursue their academic dreams in several countries of the European Union after they won scholarships under the EU's Erasmus + Programme.  The Erasmus+ Programme will allow them to pursue MA and Ph D programmes in different universities across the European  Union.

Today, on the fifth anniversary of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the preservation of the agreement is more important than ever. The JCPOA was concluded on 14 July 2015 and subsequently endorsed unanimously by the UN Security Council (Resolution 2231). It is a historic multilateral achievement for global nuclear non-proliferation and is contributing to regional and global security.
