On November 10 2016, a small group of youth from different sectors met in the EU Delegation to the African Union in Addis Ababa. The meeting was aimed at finding out what role the youth should play to form the focus and the agenda of the coming EU-Africa Summit of 2017.
The Youth; coming from the creative art, journalism, social media, university students, the AU and EU institutions raised pertinent issues and ways to address their messages to the policy and decision making bodies.
His Excellency Mr. Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, will speak on Tuesday, November 15th from 4-5:30 pm on the subject of “Political Leadership in the Digital Age” as part of the Presidential Distinguished Lecturer Series that takes place at the Singapore Management University.
This is an excellent opportunity to hear a European Prime Minister talk about the challenges of political leadership and engagement in the current digital era.

Tuesday, 29 November in Davao, The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Porras St. Cor. Villamor St., Barrio Obrero, Davao City, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

On 10 November the European Commission and HR/VP Mogherini published a Communication on Ocean Governance. The communication sets out 3 priority areas of work which provide a plan of action on both maritime security and environmental issues.
