المفوضية الأوروبية تبنت رزمة مساعدات جديدة تصل إلى 42.5 مليون يورو لصالح الشعب الفلسطيني حيث خُصِص جزء كبير من رزمة المساعدات للقدس الشرقية.

European Union (EU) partners and the Minister of Finance in Ghana, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta, on 30 January 2018, formally endorsed and launched the European Partners' Joint Co-operation Strategy 2017-2020. Ambassadors and representatives from the EU, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Denmark, France, the Kingdom of Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Switzerland were present.

The European Union Ambassador to Ghana, William Hanna and Minister of Finance in Ghana, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta, also signed four financing agreements which provides Ghana €175 million for the implementation of four programmes over the next seven years.

Following a recent influx of refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) into Uganda, the European Commission has made an initial €100,000 in humanitarian funding available for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

One year after Somalia declared drought as a national emergency, famine has so far been averted due to a large-scale, collective, and unprecedented humanitarian response. Today, the country is marking a turning point toward ending the cycle of recurring humanitarian crises. At a high-level event in the capital Mogadishu, the 2018 Humanitarian Response Plan, seeking USD 1.5 billion to address the needs of 5.4 million people, was jointly presented with a Recovery and Resilience Framework (RRF), which outlines the way forward for recovery and longer-term resilience aimed at addressing the root causes of Somalia’s recurring humanitarian crises.

High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini met today in Brussels with the United Arab Emirates Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Myanmar Department of Fisheries, the European Union and the German International Cooperation officially launched a new 22.5 million EUR programme to improve the management of fisheries and boost the development of aquaculture in Myanmar.
