On March 5, 2021 Uganda received its 1st batch of vaccines through #COVAX — the world’s facility for universal access to #COVID19 vaccines.

Nadi, Fiji (06/03/21) -The first consignment of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines from the multilateral COVAX Facility have been delivered to Fiji, becoming the first Pacific island country to receive the vaccines through the facility. These 12,000 doses will allow the start of the vaccination campaign in Fiji with those most at risk. This delivery is part of a first wave of arrival that will continue in the coming months. Fiji will receive 108,000 doses of the vaccines under the COVAX Facility.

Signalling a fresh start for EU-U.S. relations, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and U.S. President Joe Biden agreed to suspend all retaliatory tariffs imposed in the Airbus and Boeing disputes for a four-month period, and committed to solving these long-running issues. High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell visited Nicosia on Friday to discuss the path towards resumption of the Cyprus settlement talks and offer the EU’s support in this process.
