EU  sanctions, imposed since 9 May 2011, respond  to  the repression  perpetrated  on  the  Syrian  people by  the  Syrian  regime  and its supporters, including through the use of live ammunition against peaceful protesters, and the regime’s involvement in the proliferation and use of chemical weapons.

On 28 May, EU High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell will address the UN Security Council on the EU’s role in the preservation of international peace and security at the invitation of Estonia, which holds the rotating presidency of the Security Council this month. Globalna pandemija korona virusa koja je zahvatila čovječanstvo i dalje traje.
