On 13 March 2017, the Council prolonged the restrictive measures over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until 15 September 2017. The measures consist of asset freezes and a travel bans.

On 14th March, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union Delegation to Lao PDR successfully hosted a one-day workshop on “Promoting and Protecting the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”. This seminar was a side-event to the 7th Lao PDR-EU Human Rights Dialogue that took place last month in Vientiane. It presented an opportunity for the EU and the Lao PDR to continue expanding and deepening the conversation that took place in the dialogue, this time with specific reference to the rights of people with disabilities.
On 9 March 2017, EU Ambassador to Swaziland, Nicola Bellomo, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Paul Dlamini, launched a E78 million project funded by the European Union and the World Bank aimed at assisting more than 15 000 orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs) in the country. The project was launched at Hlane constituency in the east of Swaziland.
