The specific objective of the project is to strengthen social, economic and cultural rights of women with regard to Gender Based Violence. This is achieved through improved awareness, knowledge and capacities among women, civil society organisations and key stakeholders.

This support intends to provide technical assistance to the National Authorising officer and the Ministry of Line and Phoenix Islands Development (MLPID) to ensure effective identification, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of actions under the current National Indicative Programme and other EDF funds, including programmes and activities related to capacity building at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development and also the Ministry of Line and Phoenix Development.
