Европейский Союз и Республика Таджикистан провели восьмой раунд своего ежегодного диалога по правам человека сегодня в Душанбе. Делегацию Европейского Союза возглавлял г-н Тойво Клаар, Заведующий Отделом Центральной Азии
в Европейской службе по внешним делам, а во главе таджикской делегации стоял г-н Шараф Каримзода, Заместитель Начальника управления гарантий прав человека Исполнительного Аппарата при Президенте Республики Таджикистан.

Встреча способствовала открытому и откровенному обмену мнениями вокруг ситуации с правами человека в Таджикистане.

The European Union and Tajikistan held the eighth round of their annual Human Rights Dialogue in Dushanbe today. The EU delegation was led by Toivo Klaar, Head of the Central Asia Division of the European External Action Service, while the Tajikistan delegation was headed by Sharaf Karimzoda, Deputy Head of Department for Human Rights in the executive apparatus of the President of Tajikistan.

The meeting allowed for an open and frank exchange of views on the human rights situation in Tajikistan.

La «stratégie de l'UE dans le domaine des relations culturelles internationales» présentée par la Commission européenne et la haute représentante de l’Union pour les affaires étrangères et la politique de sécurité vise à encourager la coopération culturelle entre l’UE et ses pays partenaires et à promouvoir un ordre mondial fondé sur la paix, l’état de droit, la liberté d’expression, la compréhension mutuelle et le respect des valeurs fondamentales.

The European Union has mobilised 3 million Euros (approximately 45 million Maloti) under the European Development Fund (EDF) for a new civic education programme in Lesotho, with the title of 'Participatory Initiative for Social Accountability' (PISA). The EU is funding this PISA programme in partnership with the German Government, which is providing an additional 0.465 million Euros (approximately 7 million Maloti).

Seychelles' decision to decriminalise homosexuality, taken on 19 May 2016, adds to the number of African countries where same-sex relations are legal.
 
Through this ground-breaking decision, Seychelles has joined the increasing number of countries which have taken steps to abide by their international human rights commitments to promote the equality of all, regardless of their sexual orientation.
 
The EU reiterates its strong commitment to the equality and dignity of all human beings irrespective of their sexual orientation and gender identity.

En prenant, le 19 mai 2016, la décision de dépénaliser l'homosexualité, les Seychelles sont venues grossir le rang des pays africains où les relations homosexuelles sont légales.
