The European Union issues the following declaration in agreement with the EU Heads of Mission in Mozambique

 

The European Union Delegation in agreement with the EU Heads of Mission condemns the assassination of Mahamudo Amurane, mayor of Nampula, a committed public servant.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the victim.

The EU joins all those who are firmly committed to peace and the rule of law in Mozambique.

The 4th EU-ASEAN High Level Dialogue (HLD) on Maritime Security Cooperation was held on 5-6 October 2017 in Manila. The Dialogue was attended by senior officials and key experts from the ASEAN Member States and the EU who discussed a broad range of maritime security-related issues under four thematic areas.

ASEAN Member States and the European Union warmly welcome the successful outcome of the 4th EU-ASEAN High Level Dialogue (HLD) on Maritime Security Cooperation, which was held on 5-6 October 2017 in Manila.

ASEAN Member States and the European Union warmly welcome the successful outcome of the 4th EU-ASEAN High Level Dialogue (HLD) on Maritime Security Cooperation, which was held on 05-06 October 2017 in Manila. The Dialogue was co-organised by the Department of Foreign Affairs and the National Coast Watch Council Secretariat of the Philippines and the European External Action Service, together with the European Commission.

Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth, and sport for the period 2014 - 2020. It offers a range of opportunities for higher education students, doctoral candidates, staff and institutions from around the world.

Today a number of European Union (EU) projects are launched to support International Ocean governance. A special emphasis is put on the Pacific – European Union Marine Partnership (PEUMP) programme to be implemented in 15 Pacific ACP countries (worth € 45 million) including the contribution of the Swedish Government (€ 10 million).

The European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, Neven Mimica and the Prime Minister of Cook Islands, Honourable Henry Puna, signed today a financing agreement to support the Cook Islands' sanitation sector.
