Chonburi, 23 June 2017 - Under the EU-funded ILO Ship to Shore Rights Project, the ILO, Ministry of Labour, and EU delegation to Thailand opened the Stella Maris Seafarer’s Centre in Samaesarn, Chonburi. The opening of this new centre for fishers commemorates the global Day of the Seafarer. The Chonburi Centre joins two other newly-established centres funded under the Project. All migrant and Thai workers are welcomed to use these Centres to receive access to health services, to seek legal advice, and learn about rights and responsibilities of fishers under Thai law.
