إلى جانب السفراء المعينين للنمسا وبلجيكا والدنمارك وفنلندا وإسبانيا والسويد والنرويج، سلم الدبلوماسي الإسباني خوسيه أنطونيو سابادل أوراق اعتماده كسفير جديد للاتحاد الأوروبي لدى ليبيا في 10 أكتوبر 2020 في طرابلس. وعقب الاحتفال الرسمي الذي أقيم مع رئيس حكومة الوفاق الوطني المدعومة من الأمم المتحدة، فائز السراج، عقد السفراء والقائمون بالأعمال من المجر وهولندا وبولندا سلسلة من الاجتماعات المشتركة مع القيادة الليبية، بما في ذلك مع الرئيس السراج، ووزير الخارجية محمد سيالة، ورئيس المؤسسة الوطنية للنفط مصطفى صنع الله.


Alongside the designated ambassadors of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Spain, Sweden, as well as Norway, Spanish diplomat José Antonio Sabadell handed over his credential as new Ambassador of the European Union to Libya on 10 October 2020 in Tripoli. Following the formal ceremony with the President of the UN-backed Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Sarraj, the ambassadors and the chargés d’affaires of Hungary, the Netherlands, and Poland held a series of joint meetings with the Libyan leadership, including with President Al-Sarraj, Foreign Minister Mohammed Siala and the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation Mustafa Sanalla.


EU Ambassador Christian Bader on 19 October met Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage, Dr. Nadia Arop Dudi.

The Minister mentioned her plans to have in Juba a National Museum, along with a National Library where national archives could be housed and used.

After a thorough investigation, the European Commission decided to impose definitive anti-dumping measures in the framework of the anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of Korean heavyweight thermal paper into the European Union. The definitive anti-dumping duty of 15,8% is imposed as of 20 October 2020 on Korean exports to the EU of the concerned products.
